Disaster relief and crisis recovery

We know kids need balanced and active play to thrive and that play is critical to help children learn, grow, and develop important skills related to creativity, social connection, and leadership. We also know from our work in disaster impacted areas that play is critical to help children heal following a disaster, as they deal with the stress of lost homes, lost loved ones, lost routine and lost normalcy.

Play is an important part of rebuilding childhoods, which is why KaBOOM! established an internal Disaster Relief and Crisis Recovery Task Force and a roadmap to respond when there are natural or manmade disasters that have an impact on children. We want to help kids when they need it most.

We have the knowledge and experience to respond effectively to disasters and crises affecting kids, but we need your support through donations and partnerships to help make it happen.
