Forget the drab grays and browns that define most office spaces. Our offices are painted in our signature colors and the walls themselves are enough to brighten even the gloomiest of days. We want our space to inspire the work we do to bring hope, community healing, and joyful PLAYces to the kids who need it most. We adorn our workspaces with colorful nametags that we draw ourselves on chalkboards, and we hold meetings in conference rooms with names like "Sandbox" and "Treehouse."
The first thing to greet Boomers in our DC headquarters is a tire swing and caricatures of our Boomers who have dedicated their time and talent. We all know kids thrive when they play – we do too!
KABOOM! is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that is dedicated to giving all kids—regardless of color or zip code —the childhood they deserve through great, safe places to play. We prioritize diversity, equity and inclusion as an integral part of our culture.
We strongly encourage people of color (including bilingual and bicultural), all genders and gender identities, people of all abilities, LGBTQ individuals, veterans and national service alumni to apply.
Each month, Boomers are designated as Culture Captains and are charged with planning a fun team- building activity that everyone can participate in. Past events have included finger painting, cardboard box recess, scavenger hunts and lip-sync battles.
Boomers also get a chance to take a break from their busy schedules and enjoy lunch together once a month, and we always make sure to celebrate Boomer birthdays every month with cake, ice cream, and good company.
