Every child deserves play

Posted by KaBOOM! on November 13, 2012

From James Siegal, Dad and Executive VP and COO of KaBOOM!:

My daughters are lucky – it’s only a two and a half minute walk to our local playground.

During the hours we’ve spent there I’ve watched them learn, grow and gain confidence – all with huge smiles on their faces. As a parent, there’s really nothing better than that.

Especially because kids who play will do better in school. They will be less likely to be obese. They’ll be better prepared for the complex workplaces of tomorrow. And, most importantly, kids who play are happier.

But, unlike my daughters, only 1 in 5 kids have a park or playground within walking distance of their home.

Next year KaBOOM! will bring access to play to hundreds of thousands of more kids. But we'll only be able to do it with your support.

Please consider a donation today. Your gift could bring the joy of swings, the creativity found in a sandbox, or the confidence gained by making it across the monkey bars to kids across the country.

Together we can make sure every child has a great place to play.
