We are tackling playspace inequity one playce at a time!

We are proud to share we were featured on PBS NewsHour! Our CEO Lysa Ratliff was featured alongside Mayor Brandon Scott, and leaders from Baltimore City Recreation and Parks and Baltimore City Public Schools to highlight how we are partnering through the 25 in 5 Initiative to End Playspace Inequity, our five-year, $250 million plan to accelerate efforts towards achieving playspace equity across the United States.

The segment showcased the urgency of our work, now more than ever. Far too many kids lack adequate places to play, and COVID-19 exacerbated this reality. This is especially true in Black and Brown communities that are already bearing the brunt of disinvestment and lack of resources

We are committed to working in Baltimore and places across the country to address racial inequity stemming from systemic racism, which is the root cause of inequitable access to quality places to play

We can make some significant advancements that don’t just have immediate benefits but have long-term benefits for our communities and our kids.
