24 Hour Fitness, the largest U.S. fitness club chain and a leading health club industry pioneer, is excited to announce its participation in the launch of Facebook Deals; which will offer people special discounts when they “check in” to a 24 Hour Fitness® club on Facebook Places. Places gives people the power to easily share where they are with friends on Facebook, find friends who are nearby, discover new places, and now, take advantage of special deals by checking in. To kick off the launch of Deals, 24 Hour Fitness will reward gym goers who check in on Places by donating up to $50,000 to KaBOOM! – a national non-profit that supports youth fitness through saving play for America’s children.

The company will donate $1 to KaBOOM! for each of the first 50,000 people who “check-in” to 24 Hour Fitness clubs on Facebook Places. The promotion is good now through Dec. 15, and is valid for 420 24 Hour Fitness clubs nationwide claimed on Places.

“Facebook Deals is allowing people to connect at our clubs as we reward them for staying active; and we are excited to kick off our participation with a special Deal that supports a good cause,” said Tony Wells, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for 24 Hour Fitness. “24 Hour Fitness is dedicated to making fitness easy; and this is a simple way to encourage our members and Facebook’s more than 500 million users to get fit and stay active.”

In addition to convenient club locations, 24 Hour Fitness is committed to making fitness information available to members on the go. With dedicated social media users online via Facebook, Twitter, and 24hourfitness.com; the company strives to provide accessible fitness information, tools, inspiration and encouragement outside of its clubs to help members achieve their fitness goals.
