Proyecto Pastoral Los Angeles, CA
Proyecto Pastoral provides many critical services to the kids and families within Los Angeles’s Boyle Heights. This project creates an oasis of fun in a corner of Proyecto Pastoral’s parking lot, bringing new life and color to the fence that wraps partially around the property. The project also extends beyond the parking lot. Before families even enter the property, they are greeted by colorful designs on the fence and a series of colorful stepping stones under a tree. In a protected corner of the parking lot, a small multi-colored climbing wall with protective rubber padding invites kids to try something new, or to hop across more stepping stones between the garden planters.
As a provider of many community programs and health initiatives, including IMPACO youth programs, Early Learning Centers for childcare, leadership development, services for the unhoused and more, Proyecto Pastoral’s parking lot now has an eye-catching, family-friendly place for families to enjoy when visiting for services and classes.
