Carey has worked in operations for over 25 years in healthcare, tech, and nonprofits, gaining experience in technology, development, marketing, human resources, finance, and strategic partnerships. As a seasoned nonprofit executive, she is passionate about motivating teams to accomplish extraordinary goals, and opportunities to impact systemic change for marginalized communities. In addition to being passionate about equity for all kids, she also mentors young professionals, teaches leadership and management, and tutors young readers. Carey attended Villanova University and has holds a master’s in leadership from Cambridge College. Outside of the office, Carey enjoys time on the Chesapeake Bay, writing, cooking, and being with friends, family, and her two Jack Russell Terriers, Pocket and Jack.
