Experts agree that playing in nature makes children happier and healthier. Spending time in nature helps kids build social connections, increase physical activity, improve mental health, and develop a love for the environment. Children thrive when they have frequent access to outdoor spaces, experiences and learning.

But in the United States, families with children—especially Black and Brown families—have less access to nature close to where they live than the rest of the country.

Nature Everywhere communities consist of cross-sector leadership teams that have access to tools, resources, and a national peer learning network of leaders who can share successful strategies for connecting children to the benefits of nature.  Learn more about Nature Everywhere Communities.
