From playdates to picnics in the park, Gymboree is proud to help dress the cutest kids in the sandbox: introducing, Hop ‘n’ Roll – a new line of mix & match styles made to keep up with the rhythm of play. Since its beginning in 1976 with Gymboree Play & Music, Gymboree has proudly watched kids learn and grow through the power of play and seen firsthand the desire from parents for cute, comfortable playwear options. Hop ‘n’ Roll is rooted in this inspiration – now available for boys and girls, sizes 6 months to 10 at Gymboree stores and on Gymboree.com. Fans can learn more by visiting www.gymboree.com/hopnroll.
To celebrate the launch of Hop ‘n’ Roll and the power of everyday play, Gymboree is partnering with KaBOOM! – a national non-profit organization that works to bring balanced and active play into the daily lives of all kids, especially those in underserved communities. From April 7 – May 31, Gymboree will be supporting KaBOOM! through a series of programs and activities, with the goal of raising enough money to build a place to play for 10,000 deserving kids:
- Gymboree will earmark 1% of sales of each Hop ‘n’ Roll product sold in-store and online (up to $50K), to benefit KaBOOM!.*
- Customers will be invited to donate on top of their Hop ‘n’ Roll purchase online and in-store, in an effort to meet the program donation goal. This will be supported through in-store signage, digital advertising, social media and public relations efforts.
- Kiwi Crate: In partnership with Gymboree, Kiwi Crate – an award-winning subscription service for kids, has created a limited-edition crate for children with all the materials and inspiration to create a racing wind car. The crates will also include a special offer to shop Gymboree. It will sell for just $5, with all proceeds being donated to KaBOOM! In addition, Gymboree has planned the following activities to celebrate the power of play:

- PBS KIDS®: Gymboree is a proud sponsor of Jim Henson’s “Dinosaur Train” on PBS KIDS and will support PBS KIDS’ “Explore the Outdoors” campaign via special in-store programming on Gymboree TV, giveaways on Gymboree’s Facebook page, and participation in local PBS member station “Explore the Outdoors” events, all in encouragement of kids learning and playing.
- Along with a handful of other influencers, Girls Gone Child, My Life and Kids, B-Inspired and Crystal and Comp – popular mom bloggers – are partnering with Gymboree to help spread word of KaBOOM! and the importance of play, through fun and engaging content on their blogs and social media channels.
- Pinterest Playdate Map: Partners and top bloggers are continuing to contribute to Gymboree’s Pinterest Playdate Map – an incredible resource for families to discover new and exciting places to play whether on a trip or in their very own backyard.
“The launch of Hop ‘n’ Roll presents a moment in time to celebrate something that has always been core to our heritage and business – the power of play,” Mark Breitbard, Gymboree CEO said. “We’re thrilled about our partnership with KaBOOM! and hope families will join us as we work to build better places to play for 10,000 kids in 2015.”
