The Food Playscape projects offer a lush, nature-based oasis for families to play.
About the project
In the Wes Coconut Grove neighborhood, asphalt and empty lots outnumber inviting green spaces. The Food Playscape projects aims to remedy that with a lush, nature-based oasis for families to play.
The creators, Inhabit.Earth, work to harness the power of regenerative design to help heal rifts between natural and social systems. Food Playscape sits within an empty, residential lot and features a “hobbit hole” tunnel underneath a hill, an outdoor kitchen, trellises and more.
Food Playscape is the first in a series of food-themed projects in the West Coconut Grove neighborhood. All of the projects seek to preserve history and cultural heritage of West Coconut Grove.
