PETA recently sent a letter to Windsor's Clover Street School in Hartford, Conn., offering to help with the cost of new playground equipment if the school placed ads on its seesaws that say "Tot teetering on obesity? Go Veg!"
A snippet of the letter sent to the principal reads:
By urging parents to give their kids healthy, nutritious vegetarian meals, we can change the balance in their favor, help stop our youth's slide toward ever-worsening obesity, and help them swing back toward good health.
Though the offer of funding assistance in such lean economic times must be tempting, the Windsor Board of Education said told PETA it would not be accepting their offer.
