New study shows kids who play do better in school

A recent study found a link between physical activity and enhanced academic performance.

The researchers found that, after a period of physical activity, children scored higher on tests measuring how well they paid attention, suggesting that physical activity increases a child’s ability to focus, even in the presence of distractions.

I think we all know this intuitively - kids who are active are better learners. They need someplace to put all that physical energy if they're going to pay attention in school. What has your experience been?
