Kings All-Star Dustin Brown’s Hit Tracker Raises Money for KaBOOM!

NHL Los Angeles Kings All-Star & captain Dustin Brown is the newest KaBOOM! All-Star Playmaker. He and his wife Nicole became involved with KaBOOM! after the Kings and the Kings Care Foundation committed to building a playground with KaBOOM! in March of 2009. Dustin and Nicole loved the KaBOOM! mission so much, that they immediately wanted to become deeply involved in bringing play back into the lives of children. And, thus, the Dustin Brown “Hit Tracker” was born. During the 2008-09 season, Dustin and Nicole committed to donating $50 to KaBOOM! for every body check Dustin recorded during the season – no small amount considering he led the NHL in body checks the previous year with 311. Fans can track the progress of the “Hit Tracker” at www.lakings.com/kaboom.

The Kings’ Most Inspirational Player and Most Popular Player in 2007-08, Dustin is also active in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walks and serves as a spokesman for Children’s Cancer Research Fund, an organization dedicated to providing support for clinical research in pediatric cancer, while improving the medical environment for all children.
