KaBOOM! preferred vendor BCI Burke joins EPA's Green Power Partnership

Continuing the trend towards eco-friendly playgrounds, KaBOOM! preferred vendor BCI Burke just joined the Environmental Protection Agency's Green Power Partnership, which strengthens the company's commitment to use renewable energy sources. Here's some further info:

Under the partnership, BCI Burke agrees to meet specific goals for "green" power use and will report to the EPA on its use each year. Green power is electricity that is generated from environmentally preferable renewable resources, such as wind, solar, geothermal, biogas, biomass and low-impact hydro. These resources generate electricity with a net zero increase in carbon dioxide emissions, while offering a superior environmental profile compared to traditional power generation sources. The Green Power Partnership encourages businesses to use and support development of renewable energy to reduce the risk of climate change.
