KaBOOM! hosts Design Day for The Toro Company/Minnesota Vikings Build

Former Viking star Everett Lindsay, Viktor the Viking, Vikings Cheerleaders and representatives from The Toro Company joined with dozens of children to participate in a Design Day event on March 30 for a new playground to be built at Crest View Elementary in Brooklyn Park, Minn.

Brooklyn Park Mayor Steve Lampi and Councilman Rich Gates also were on hand to witness children from Crest View draw their dream playgrounds. These children’s drawings will be used to design the brand new playground to be built in one day on June 5 at the school.

Volunteers from Toro and Vikings players and staff will join hundreds of volunteers from the community to build this playground in less than eight hours. Currently, the school only has outdated equipment for the children to play on, which will be removed to make way for the new playground that will serve thousands of children for years to come!

This project marks the fourth straight year The Toro Company and the Vikings have partnered with KaBOOM! to build a playground at a school in the Twin Cites area!
