24 Hour Fitness breaks through fundraising goal for KaBOOM!

During the month of July, 24 Hour Fitness members participated in a campaign to help KaBOOM! save play. All clubs across the country (430 of them!) encouraged members to donate to KaBOOM!, with their collective goal being to raise $100,000. But by the end of the campaign, they'd gotten contributions from over 61,000 people and raised over $142,000 for KaBOOM! WOW!

The clubs that raised the most money were promised extra equipment for their clubs, and as a result, they came up with creative ways to increase their fundraising totals. At one club, team members dressed up like Superman, G.I. Joe and other super heroes and offered to take pictures with kids at their Kids Club to generate donations from member parents. When another club ran out of paper donation icons to pin on the wall, they had kids color a big new batch so that they could keep fundraising. A personal trainer offered to let her clients train HER for 15 minutes (yikes!) in exchange for a $50 contribution to KaBOOM!.

24 Hour Fitness CEO Carl Liebert affirmed these teams’ efforts and our cause, saying, "There is no better way for us to reinforce our promise of 'Fitness Done Right' than by promoting youth fitness in conjunction with KaBOOM!."

A big round of applause to 24 Hour Fitness for a fantastic campaign well done!
