What is Joint Use?Many communities lack safe, adequate places for children to play, and although they have a variety of recreational facilities, many school districts close their property to the public after hours because of concerns about vandalism, maintenance, and liability. Through a joint use agreement, your city or county can partner with the school district to address these concerns and open these playgrounds. New Grant Opportunity: Earn $15,000 or $30,000 to create a joint use agreement to open locked playgrounds in your community! Thanks to generous support from Dr Pepper Snapple Group, KaBOOM! will award $15,000 and $30,000 Let’s Play Joint Use Grants to support the opening of school playgrounds to the public during non-school hours.
