KaBOOM! National Partners – Founding Members, Corporate Leadership Circle

D. Pepper Snapple Group

Dr Pepper Snapple Group

This year, Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPS) introduced Let’s Play, a community partnership designed to get kids active nationwide. The first Let’s Play initiative is a three-year commitment to KaBOOM!. Together, through Let’s Play, DPS and KaBOOM! will build or fix up 2,000 playgrounds by the end of 2013, benefiting an estimated five million children across North America. With the launch of Let’s Play, DPS will continue to promote fit and active lifestyles, a key component of ACTION Nation, DPS’ corporate philanthropy program. The company will offer a variety of Let’s Play grants via KaBOOM!, which will help communities build new playgrounds, update existing playgrounds or keep playgrounds open longer. DPS employee volunteers will also build a number of new playgrounds nationwide. KaBOOM! has a long history of working with our friends at DPS, and we are thrilled to see them out on the playground again this year.

Foresters

Foresters

Foresters™ is more than a life insurance provider. Foresters purpose is to champion the well-being of families through quality life insurance, unique member benefits and inspiring community activities. Since 2006, Foresters has built or planned nearly 100 KaBOOM! playgrounds, thanks to the volunteer efforts of Foresters members, independent producers and local community partners. These playgrounds will eventually serve over 2.6 million children and families, providing them with a safe place to play, learn and spend time together. Foresters is a proud National Partner and a founding member of the KaBOOM! Corporate Leadership Circle, a group of organizations dedicated to providing the highest level of corporate support for KaBOOM! and our vision of a great place to play within walking distance of every child and family.

Kraft Foods Foundation logo

Kraft Foods Foundation

Kraft Foods and KaBOOM! have been working together since 2007 to celebrate play and to build stronger communities. In 2010, Kraft Foods Foundation joined in on the fun and signed on as an official National Partner of KaBOOM! Together Kraft Foods Foundation and KaBOOM! will work as national advocates for the significance of play and create solutions to the play deficit that affects so many communities nationwide. Furthermore, in support of healthy lifestyles for children nationwide, Kraft Foods employees will take direct action to address these issues during Kraft Foods Delicious Difference Week, its global service week from October 4th-9th. In eight states, employees will work alongside community members to build thirteen playgrounds, which will become safe, vibrant places for 100,000 children.

MetLife Foundation

MetLife Foundation

Fun Fact: Did you know that MetLife funded its first playground in 1924 through the Playground and Recreation Association of America. Now, eighty-six years later and based on the success of their first playground project with KaBOOM!, MetLife Foundation is continuing to build playgrounds in cities all over the US. What a great history in support of play! MetLife Foundation has been working with KaBOOM! since 2008, and this year, they have decided to build 5 new KaBOOM! playgrounds in the US and Mexico. Each playground build will engage local employee volunteers to make a very special investment in the community. We're looking forward to seeing our friends from MetLife and their special guest, SNOOPY, on the playground soon.
