Wayne Farmer - Senior Director

Wayne grew up all over the great-big-wide-world playing in forests and meadows and playgrounds from Washington State to Connecticut to Spain. He has fond memories of swings and whirly-gigs and flights of imagination…

A bit older, and hopefully wiser, he has spent the last ten years helping to build international non-profit organizations. He has extensive experience in developing effective boards and scaling operations. World Links, founded by former World Bank President James D. Wolfensohn, was "spinning out" of the World Bank when Wayne was recruited to build the board of directors and diversify revenue. Growth was possible due to the establishment of fee-for-service and consulting activities in addition to significant philanthropic campaigns. He provided strategic leadership and helped to build the organization, reaching 27 countries. Previous to World Links, Wayne helped launch the international arm of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He has served as a Director to the Sustainable Healthcare Foundation, seeking to improve access to essential medicines through its innovative micro-franchise clinics in Kenya; as well as a Vice President at Next Steps Research and is now the Senior Development Director at KaBOOM! He is a current advisor to the Scojo Foundation and a board member of the Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation and Living Goods, an Avon-style distributor of essential medicine and health products in Uganda.
