FUNdraising 101
Tue., June 24 (2-3 p.m. EST)
We know that fundraising is often the biggest hurdle when planning a playspace project. Don’t worry – we’re here to help you. During this webinar, we’ll take you through the four main types of fundraising: individual giving, corporate sponsorship, grants, and special events. We’ll help you hone your communication skills as you approach businesses and individuals for money. We’ll show you what a successful grant looks like. And finally, we’ll give you great examples of special events that you can start planning ASAP.

Making the Ask: Getting Business Sponsorships
Wed., July 30 (1:00- 2:00 p.m. EST)
People are far more likely to contribute to your project if you ask them directly. In fact, they're TWICE as likely to give money and four times as likely to volunteer their time! This success hinges on asking, which can be one of the most daunting aspects of fundraising. In this webinar, you'll learn the steps to the perfect ask and how to apply those steps as you plan for your project. KaBOOM! speakers will also share their personal experiences getting businesses to give their time, people, and financial resources to playground projects across the country. A few topics will include: setting sponsorship levels, researching prospect companies, making the ask; and maintaining the business relationship.

Grant Writing 101
Mon., Aug. 19 (1:00- 2:00 p.m. EST)
From the cover letter to the summary to the budget, there are a lot of components that go into a successful grant proposal. In this webinar, you'll learn the do's and don'ts of grant writing, the components of a successful grant, and the expectations of the foundations who award them. You'll also find out where to go to find foundations, organizations, and businesses that award grants for community build projects. Main topics include researching foundations and grantmakers, the five parts of a grant proposal, the common grant application; and tips for writing a great grant.
