This tactic increased our business donations

Along with our buy a piece of the playground, we have set up different funding levels.  The different levels will receive various forms of recognition which increase with the amount of the donation.  A sign will be displayed at the park with the donors listed under the various levels.  This will serve as a permanent advertising piece for the business donors.  We have found that businesses are more likely to donate a higher amount if there is a permanent advertising piece attached.  The funding levels we chose were silver ($350 to $499), gold ($500 to $999) and Platinum ($1000 and up).  We are a small township, so larger areas could adjust their levels accordingly.  Since we initiated the funding levels program, our donations have almost doubled.  Sample funding levels are in the Kaboom fundraising manual.

We are in the process of getting funding for our playground. Can you give me some more information regarding this idea? I would appreciate it.

Thanks!
