We did a Texas Hold 'em tournament at a local golf course in the off season and had great success. Items were donated to raffle off and a 50/50 drawing was done. It didn't require a lot of work and brought in $2000. We live in a very small township, so I would imagine it would do even better in a larger populated area.

Some other fundraising ideas are bowling which we did with silent auction baskets and a bake sale(around $2,500), Fiesta Night with Mexican food, dancers, DJ,and carnival games(around $3,000 and was matched by a foundation) T- shirt sales offering more than one color($1,000) Grocery shop and shares and nights at fast food place bring in a little.
