It has been a great two weeks since we graduated from  WE-PLAY Houston

The WE-PLAY workshop has made me excited about our own community project. 

In just those two short weeks we have formed a core planning team, and used the  on-line toolkit to map out our roadway.   We have even started our project web site Check it out at

We can help and encourage each other, so to all my fellow  grads, tell me where you are at in the roadmap.  Let us share with each other how we can help each other. 

 

I want to extend an invite to all my fellow WE-PLAY Houston grads to share the PLAY and sign up for our Build on May 16, 2009.  Mark your Blackberries, organizers with the date, Better still sign up to Build

We are in the home stretch.   Our group is on Mile marker 3.

We are working on our grant.-  4 days  to go..  WOW!!

Our next announcement will be Design Day  Press release.  Any themes anyone can suggest to make it unique for the kids?

Great to hear others are well on their way!  We too are on our way....in fact...if not for Hurricane Ike we would be done.  Our original date was Sept. 27th however we have had to reschedule to November 22nd.  We welcome all of you to come out and help us with our build.  There are a few of us that have seen one build day in action so we will see if we can do it on our own now!  Please come out and learn from our mistakes or use whatever good ideas we might have that day as well.  If you want to come out and see what we are doing on a prep day then please let me know that as well...I would be more then happy to share what we are doing.  My email is msmith@ci.pearland.tx.us if you would like to email me directly.
