Hello New Orleans!

We here at KaBOOM! are excited to meet each and every one of you playful people next week. You're in store for what promises to be an informative, invigorating and inspiring WE Play!. So come with playful energy and thoughtful questions. And sooner, rather than later, we will be seeing even more great playspaces for the children and youth of New Orleans.

Yours in play,

Danielle, Erin, Kiva, Melanie & Sarah

I'm looking forward to the New Orleans We Play workshop!  If anyone has any questions about the area......places to see, where to eat...etc... just drop me a line.

Today's New Orleans WE Play! is off to a great start.  Participants have generated some great questions and great answers as well. Listed below is a sample of some of the questions. Stayed tuned as we'll post participant generated answers soon:

  • How can we find volunteers for our build?
  • How do I motivagte and engage community members?
  • How do we maximize fundraising efforts?
  • How do I work with my city government to re-do a public playground?
  • Who should we work with to get a new playground at our school?
  • What can my planning committee do to maintain our playspace after we've build it?
  • How do we address the issue of liabilities in community builds?
  • I'm not planning a playspace, but I'm interested in making my community more playful. What can I do?
