It is a great idea if you have a lot of family and friends and also if you have a local bowling alley that is....

Rent cooling fans for hot summer builds
Posted: 08 Jun 07 7:17 PM

Hey all! We are planning a July 28th build in Texas - yep - 100 degrees and 99% humidity. I am planning to ask the high schools to donate the use of their misting fans you see on the sidelines of football games. In the event I am not able to borrow these, does anyone know what they might actaully be called and where I could rent some?

Why not hit up one of your pro teams?  Good PR for them and you may wind up recruiting $$$ also.  Most of them have very active outreach and community assistance programs.

I know this Build Day has passed, but another good tip is to check for some misting stations.  Those are GREAT places for volunteers to cool off on a hot day.
