More About Me
I have been employed by the YMCA in a variety of cities since way back in 1966. In that period of time I have had the good fortune to work with some amazing co-workers with admirable work ethics and character. I have also had the opportunity to work with literally hundreds of selfless, dedicated volunteers that have made an unbelieveable committment to the YMCA, a commitment to doing the right thing. It has been and interesting and humbling career. I participated in another playground building project aabout six years ago and it was an incredible experience! We had young volunteers from a college service organization and they were awesome. The enthusiasm was just contagious. People that said they would only come for a few hours ended up staying the entire day. Every so often I would sit back and just observe how it was all unfolding and how everyone was pulling together toward a common goal with no egos to get in the way. I am anxious to take on another playground project in a very different type of community. These are solid, hardworking, family oriented people and I know that they do are committed to doing the right thing. Being in that kind of company never gets old.
