I had already been living in Washington DC for about a year when I came across the job listing for KaBOOM!. I read the job description over and over, almost in disbelief. A place that creates REAL change in the communities by focusing on children and actualizing adults? A non-profit that is progressive in the realm of social media, giving away tools and resources to anyone who has an internet connection? Playgrounds!? We make and teach others how to make playgrounds!?
It was the dream job I didn't realize even existed, let alone something I could have.
I celebrated my year anniversary at KaBOOM! in early June and my enthusiasm and passion for the work I get to do hasn't diminished one bit. I couldn't be more excited about the plans and ideas we have for kaboom.org coming down the road.
