More About Me
Play is important because during stressful times, children need time to unwind and enjoy the early years; playful and fun childhood! Play is a critical way to encourage physical activity and develop gross and fine motor skills. On the playground, we have seen many children develop their first friendships, learn to work as a team, and become more selfless and less self-centered. Seeing their eyes light up is perhaps one of the most joyful moments of play. Our organization has a playground at all six of our child care centers. We will be building a new child care center because of evidenced need for our services in the community. The new site will require mostly new equipment, and is important because our playground attracts parents and children to the sites. Without a playground, we would not be able to operate the finest quality center. And, our mission focuses on, providing the highest and finest quality services to ALL children, regardless of their financial circumstances. At least 50% and up to 99% of children who use our child care centers live at the federal poverty level. To learn more about our entire organization, please visit www.bchfs.org. Oh, I like to garden, do stuff around the house, and cook, in that order. My favorite thing on the playground is the swings and I don't think they have them anymore, but the monkey bars.
