More About Me
Until I had children I never gave a thought to school playgrounds, and until I registered my first child for kindergarten this year I assumed that all school included playgrounds. It surprised me to find out that this is not neccessarily true. Looking at the barely grass covered lot that the children will use to "play" at recess brings such sadness. The city's community of children that will miss on the social, educational and healthy aspects of a school playground, including my own child, is heartwrenching. I can not imagine my active son going to a school with no playground, and quite frankly neither can he. Although I have just begun the process, I will do whatever I can to get a playground in his school, and I hope the community will too.
