| More About Me |
| As a mother of two sons, as well as an advocate for community involvement, I have seen firsthand the positive impact that a safe place to play and an opportunity to be outside and busy in positive activities has on a child. Last year I was part of a team who built a playground in Margara, Tamarindo, Dominican Republic. Many of these children do not even have the opportunity to attend school, but giving them a place to play and bring the community together had an immediate impact, as we supported the community in their desire to eventually build a school. With Pacific Dental Services, where I work, we will be rehabilitating a playground in Watts Los Angeles for the children of that community in November! There are so many similar opportunities very close to home, that it is important to me to champion simple ways in which to get my associates, neighbors and everyone I meet involved in providing opportunities for children to play! |
