More About Me
Play has always been a part of my life, something I never wanted to "leave behind" when I "left" my childhood and so I try to carry play with me wherever I go, incorporating it into my personal and professional life. One of my favorite playground memories is hosting a kick-ball birthday party for my 18th birthday when all of my "too cool to be in school" friends came out for an afternoon of running around and a bit of healthy competition. The very first build I went on was in Maryland where volunteers never tired and positive energy never failed. I was blown away by the sense of accomplishment and camraderie felt at the end of the day when we could look back on what was an empty lot and see a finished playground.
