Carla Mannix of Reading, Pa. is now the proud owner of an Audiovox Audio Homebase Message Center and 7" Digital Picture Frame, thanks to the KaBOOM! Playspace Finder Sweepstakes!

Carla started using kaboom.org last year to help raise money for a new playground at a local school. "It was nice to get ideas for fundraising and see what other people are doing," she said. "We have a very small school, one class, one grade, and there's a playground for very young children on one side of the school but nothing for the older children."

Carla sent letters to businesses and wrote a grant to help fund the new playground, and her group also held a walkathon to raise money. "Combining all that, we managed to scrape together $14,000 and bought a playground for the older kids on the other side of the school," she said.
