More than 25 parents, teachers and community volunteers turned up at the new playground space at Sawtooth Elementary School on Saturday to help put it all together.

They poured concrete footings, set up equipment, shoveled gravel, put down ground cover and then poured ground-up chips of old tires which were dyed a bright blue over the entire playground, creating a safe, cushioned and fun place for kids to play.
