GAUTIER, 11/22/06 -- Carousals and sandboxes and swings, oh my, echoed throughout the group of kids participating in the KaBOOM! Design Day Tuesday.

"I like mazes," 9-year-old Colton Samblis said as he drew his ideal maze on a KaBOOM! playsheet.

Armed with a notebook full of his own personal designs, Colton and other children helped organizers plan the KaBOOM! playground being built in Hickory Hill.

"It's not something you see at every other playground and it would make it ours," Colton said.
