CEOs Build Children a Playground
Volunteers and their bosses work at Lawrence Heights Community Centre

Thursday, September 28, 2006 -- Children living in one of Toronto's poorest neighbourhoods arrived home from school yesterday just in time to see 600 volunteers -- including the CEOs of some of Canada's leading companies -- put the finishing touches on a new playground.
Twenty CEOs brought along 500 volunteers from their firms. They partnered with families from Lawrence Heights to build a colourful, state-of-the-art playground in less than eight hours. |
