NEW BRITAIN - As the school year comes to a close, one fourth-grade class at Lincoln Elementary School chose a new playground over a pizza party.

The school is currently raising money to build a new, safe playground for the students. In a recent effort, each class was given a one gallon milk carton to collect loose change and the class that raised the most money was awarded a pizza party. The school was able to raise over $800. Karen Bajek's 4th-grade class won the pizza party after filling up two milk cartons, but they had other plans.
